Alfred State College

Alfred State construction management program focuses on both commercial building and heavy civil construction. Using real plans and specifications for real construction projects in NY, students complete the same tasks they will their first years of their career in our labs. Our graduates go on to jobs with the title of project engineer, quality control engineer, assistant superintendent, assistant project manager, and material sales.

The college offers two- and four-year mechanical engineering technology programs, engaging students in hands-on learning opportunities both in and out of the classroom. Mechanical engineering technology program graduates are prepared to be mechanical technologists and technicians for industry in engineering related areas, including automotive component design, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), process and component design, mechanical systems design, energy systems, product development, and technical support and sales.

Alfred State offers an associate degree in HVAC. Student involvement in project-based learning includes participating in real world construction projects, installation of water, drain, heating, and air conditioning systems and local community projects.
