Academic Program

The Construction Management at Kent State prepares students to enter the mechanical contracting industry with a BS in Construction Management which includes a required Mechanical Systems course and also a MEP concentration which is an additional four courses related to mechanical, electrical, and plumbing. Our students are also required to intern for at least 450 hours and many of our students intern with mechanical contracting companies which better prepares them for full-time employment in the mechanical contracting industry.

Our Kent State MCA of Cleveland Chapter has placed two of the last three years in the top 10 of the MCAA Student Competition Project. We have also been awarded the MCAA Chapter of Excellence Grant for the past three years and previously have won an MCAA Emerging Chapter Grant.
