SERVICE OPERATIONS INTERNSHIP

As a Service Operations Intern, you will have the unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience and learn the intricacies of our Central Support Services and Business Management functions. This internship will provide you with valuable exposure to various aspects of our mechanical service business, preparing you for a successful career in this dynamic industry.

Principal Duties and Accountabilities:

Assist in scheduling and dispatching service calls to technicians.
Learn to prioritize and coordinate service requests efficiently.
Assist in maintaining accurate records of service calls and technician schedules.
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely response to customer inquiries.
Gain insights into customer billings and invoicing processes.
Assist with administrative support functions, including data entry and documentation.
Learn the basics of fleet management, including vehicle maintenance and tracking.
Assist in monitoring and maintaining inventory levels and ordering tools and products as needed.

Education:

Currently pursuing a degree in business, management, mechanical engineering, or a related field.

Knowledge, skills, and abilities:

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Self-motivated and eager to learn.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Physical and/or travel demands:

This position will work out of our Kansas City office.
Frequent use of computer, including keyboard, viewing monitor for extended periods of time, physically moving throughout the office.

Benefits and Compensation:

The range for this position has been established at $18 to $23 and is US Engineering’s good faith and reasonable estimate at the time of the posting. The compensation offered to the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty, and training.

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without requiring future sponsorship for employment visa status.
