As a Junior Estimator, you’ll play a crucial role by directly impacting the projects and initiatives that shape our surroundings. You will gain exposure to accurately assessing costs, timelines, and resources to ensure that our projects are executed efficiently and within budget. What We Ask of You:

·        Provide detailed quantity of labor and material takeoff for all systems.

·        Review and assess estimating documents to ensure successful low-bid outcomes.

·        Identify and report on risks, opportunities, and scope.

·        Obtain competitive quotations and compare them on a like-for-like basis.

·        Collaborate as a key member of the estimating team.

·        Attend pre-bid meetings and review bid documents with the Chief Estimator.

·        Foster relationships with subcontractors and suppliers.

·        Ensure the flow of project information is maintained and documented.

·        Participate in the hand-off of successful projects, including a key role in our Project Turnover Meetings Job Kick-Off Meetings.

 

Experience & Competencies:

·        Bachelor of Science in a related discipline is highly desirable

·        Minimum of 3 or more years estimating HVAC and/or plumbing projects, or field equivalent experience.

·        Proficiency in computer software programs, particularly Auto Bid Mechanical Estimating Software.

·        Strong knowledge of HVAC and plumbing systems.

·        Ability to communicate professionally in deadline-driven environments.

·        Strong work ethic, with organizational, and interpersonal skills with the ability to meet deadlines and successfully complete tasks

·        Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and staff in a results-driven, team-oriented environment.

·        Attention to detail with the ability to recognize discrepancies.

·        Must have the integrity, enthusiasm, and willingness to represent company in the most professional, positive manner

 

Danforth offers a competitive benefits package for eligible employees including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, paid time off, 401(k), with company match, and participation in our Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP).  The estimated compensation range for this role is $50,000-$60,000. This range is based on several factors, including individual education, qualifications, training, prior work experience, and work location.
