MCA of New Jersey’s Tradition of Giving Supports Nonprofits

In September 2020, the MCA of New Jersey’s leadership decided to donate the funds from its annual golf fundraiser to two nonprofit organizations: Convoy of Hope and Fulfill Food Bank of Monmouth and Ocean counties. What began in the early stages of the COVID-19 pandemic has since become an annual act of goodwill that is celebrated among the association’s membership. To date, MCANJ has donated $150,000 to the organizations.

Resource Highlight: MCAA’s New Worker Safety & Health Resources
New workers are often the most vulnerable to accidents and injuries. MCAA’s New Worker Safety & Health Resources assist contractors in providing training on how to identify common hazards in the mechanical industry, and how to protect themselves from those hazards. Topics covered include stop work authority, pre-task planning, PPE, working at heights, fall protection, fall prevention, power tool safety, hazard communication, housekeeping, and emergency procedures. MCAA, NECA, SMACNA & TAUC Sign Strategic Alliance Agreement
In a landmark event, the Mechanical Contractors Association of America (MCAA) along with the National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA), the Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors National Association (SMACNA), and The Association of Union Constructors (TAUC) officially signed a strategic alliance agreement on July 10, 2024.
